Las Barcas is one of the best restaurants on the Lake.  The inside features tile floors, Mexican music and decorations and the food is authentic and the menu is long.  They are west of Startzville on the way to Canyon Lake Marina West, but well worth the short drive.  There are many American items too, including burgers, hot dogs, chicken fried steak, seafood, breakfast plates, breakfast tacos, even something called a beef fajita omelet!  They feature breakfast and lunch specials, a happy hour (4-6p), and a Mariachi Band Friday nights.
